maths

During maths this week we have been learning about decimals and place value charts, we also played a game of SKUNK on Tuesday. To play it you need a pencil and paper. (click here for instructions) I came in third out of the whole class and got a total of 73 (0 -S, 21-K, 16-U, 16-N, 20-K)

I learnt how to place decimals on a place value chart.

week 1 (term 3)

Monday (first day back to school!)                                                                                                                                            We learnt the formula for a fraction of a collection.
e.g.
2/3 of 18=(18 divided by 3(denominator)=6 ) x 2(numerator)=12.

Tuesday
We did more maths on fractions of a collection.

Wednesday
During reading, I had to work with a partner to find out the benefits and concerns about the text we were reading called Ciminals Riding the Internet.

Thursday
During art, we drew a 3D hand. (If you want to see how to do it, please click on the website below).

Eye movements

Hello reader! If people do these following things with their eyes, it means that they are…

  •  Look up and to the right: Thinking about something that happened visually.
  • Look sideways and to the right: Thinking about something they heard
  • Look down and to the right: Talking to themselves
  • Look up and to the left: Constructing or thinking up a lie visually
  • Look sideways and to the Left:Constructing or thinking up a lie orally
  • Look down and to the left: Thinking about something they did. An action they did perform.
  • Look straight ahead with a haze: Thinking of something that happened visually.

This is true for 75%-85% of people in the world.

I’m Late!

I woke up to a bright blue sky,

The clouds where pink

The road was blushed.

I started to walk on and on,

The trees where waving helplessly along,

It seemed like they where whispering to me,

Wake up! Wake up! It’s 9:03!

Oh no! I’m late! I’m late! I’m late!

I can’t get to school, not at this rate!

I’m late! I’m late! I’m late! I’m late!

My Passion

Hi! I’m Isabelle and my passion is singing, I love singing. I sing when I’m in the shower and when I’m doing work, (it helps me concentrate better). I like singing both Chinese and English songs. My most favourite place to sing is in the shower. I learn songs individually at school, I used to be in a singing club called Glee but I didn’t like it so I started to do it my self with my teacher Jessie, I learn once a week every Tuesday.

About me!

Hi! I’m Isabelle, I’m 10 years old and I speak Cantonese and I’m entering the blogging competition.

My hobbies are singing and doing art.

My favourite subject in school is maths and writer’s notebook.

The thing I love best in maths is times tables and division. The thing I love best in writer’s notebook is writing.

I have a 2 year old half sister named Tiffany, a 4 year old half sister named Keira and a 6 year old half brother named Tyson. The funny thing is that Keira and Tyson’s ages added together makes my age!

That’s all for now, I’m Isabelle and this is my first blog.
